St Mary’s Mackillop Catholic Church was established as a new parish for the expanding population in the Oran Park area. Initially the church met in the Catholic School library but as the congregation quickly grew, the Church required it’s own building and facilities. It was important that the building process was fast and efficient to enable the church to cater for it’s expanding congregation.
EPB worked with the Catholic Diocese to design the building to include – a large open plan worship area, parish office and meeting room, kitchen and large outdoor alfresco area. EPB also prepared and managed all Council documentation, construction and landscaping. Using modular construction methods, the building was complete and ready for use less than six months from Development approval.
