St Patrick’s College is an independent Catholic co-educational secondary school, located in Sutherland, Southern Sydney.
To support a major capital works program at the school, four science labs and three classrooms were needed to provide interim teaching and learning spaces during the multi-year construction program.
A portable building solution was chosen as the speed and flexibility of modular construction was the only way the buildings could be located on the steep and narrow site without disrupting the school’s normal operations.
The portable buildings were designed in collaboration with Sydney Catholic Schools to provide a high quality learning environment with the flexibility to be efficiently redeployed to other schools once the capital works program has been completed.
The buildings were prefabricated off-site allowing the main onsite installation works to be completed during July school holidays with the classrooms fully commissioned at the start of fourth term 2019.
